Family-Caregiver-Alliance
A San Francisco, community-based nonprofit organization that addresses the needs of families and friends providing long-term care at home. Family Caregiver Alliance offers information, support, and assistance to caregivers of adults with chronic disabling health conditions. Provides classes, workshops, fact sheets, webinars, and other resources to imagecaregivers. Also offers an LGBT Caregivers Discussion Group with Openhouse and a state-by-state Family Care Navigator.

ElderWISE: Working in Service to Elders

An outreach program of the San Francisco Bay Area’s Episcopal Senior Communities and Senior Resources where a trained volunteer is matched with an elder and the volunteer provides emotional support, friendly companionship, and a compassionate presence.

kimochi
A San Francisco, community-based nonprofit organization that provides and supports San Francisco Bay Area Japanese and Japanese-American seniors and their families by offering culturally sensitive, innovative senior services. Kimochi assists family caregivers providing care for their parents and spouses at home with the goal of keeping older adults in their own homes and to prevent the need for institutionalization. They offer outreach, counseling, caregiver trainings, information and referral, and translation services.

Founded in 1966 to provide social services and hot meals to low-income and isolated elderly, today, Self Help for the Elderly is a multi-services organization, serving over 35,000 Chinese and Chinese-American seniors each year in San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara and Alameda counties with assistance along the continuum of care, including congregate and home-delivered meals, residential care facilities for the elderly, senior housing, case management, naturalization services, family caregiver support services, emergency in-home supportive services, information and assistance, and housing services.

In–home care and home assistance, visiting nurses, and meal delivery are just some of the services that will help you manage your daily tasks with support.
